Course Description:
This course is aimed at being an introductory session for groups of up to 12 delegates. It is designed to be delivered by 1 trainer.
It is an interactive course which combines theory and practical exercises, with opportunities for the delegates to interact with their peers.
It attempts to present what can be a relatively dry topic and makes it engaging, giving delegates the skills and the confidence to use this knowledge and these techniques in the workplace.

Course Overview:
Guide to Handling Conflict, including:
Dealing with Conflict
Conflict resolution ‘overcoming barriers’
Creating an effective team

Course Length:
This course should be completed in 1 day (09:00 – 17:00) but the workshop can be shortened to a half day if required.

Materials Required:
Projector
Slides printed in handout or booklet form so notes can be easily taken throughout the presentation, whilst also having a copy of the slides.
It may be helpful to print all A4 copies of slides with exercises for participants to complete.

Ideal Number of Delegates:
This course is aimed to be an introductory session and is designed to be delivered in groups of no more than 12. This maintains a manageable group size and ensures delegates receive a good level of support from the trainer, enabling them to feel more involved in the group/topics.

Delegate Seniority:
This is an introductory programme aimed to cover groups of mixed levels. It is NOT appropriate for senior management audiences who would need more training about how to manage diversity and some of the more complex ‘people’ issues.

Venue Requirements:One large room available to seat 12 people comfortably, set up cabaret style (seated in groups around four tables).

Cost Per Head:
£150 excluding venue costs and materials

Trainer Location:
We have associates based around the UK, who are will to travel as required.

She has extensive experience in the design and implementation of bespoke solutions to address strategic OD and HR challenges. Prior to starting up her own company, she worked for PA Consulting Group, CGR, the Independent Assessment & Research Centre in London and Birkbeck College where she was a Research Officer for Professor Herriot – a leading pioneer in Occupational Psychology. Carol is regularly called on to work with senior teams focusing on their development, ranging from managers to Board level. Recently she has worked with a number of Executive teams to drive performance enhancing change. Her clients appreciate her passion and commitment, her detailed understanding of the key issues they face, and a pragmatic view of how to engage people in change. Her interest in organisational culture stems from her work with British Gas and DHL as they wrestled with their own transformational journeys in the 1990’s.
